During a session of the Kyiv Appeals Court, businessman Igor Kolomoisky announced an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Timur Mindich, a subject of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), which occurred in Israel.
Kolomoisky stated that the attempt took place on the 28th. “Do you know about Mindich? The attempt was in Israel. The criminals have been arrested,” he noted, adding that a housekeeper was injured in the incident but fortunately survived.
Context of the Mindich Case
According to the investigation, on November 10, 2025, as part of the special operation “Midas,” NABU uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme involving the embezzlement of funds in the energy sector, related to the state company “Energoatom.” During the investigation, five out of seven suspects in the case were detained, including Timur Mindich, who is considered the organizer of the criminal organization.
It is expected that in the upcoming sessions, Kolomoisky will provide more information about the assassination attempt and explain its details. It has been noted that Mindich held citizenship of Israel, which facilitated his escape from the country at the time of the investigation.
This incident is yet another testament to the unstable situation related to corruption cases, which continue to attract interest from both Ukrainian and international media.
