In Ukraine, according to a message from "Ukrenergo," there will be hourly power outages on Saturday, December 6. These will last for the entire day due to the consequences of enemy attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.

Energy workers continue to address the aftermath of the shelling of Ukrainian energy facilities that occurred the day before. As a result, energy consumption restrictions will be in effect across all regions of Ukraine, with phases lasting from 0.5 to 2.5 hours. Industrial consumers will also be subject to restrictions throughout the day.

Outage schedules by region

In Kyiv, for example, electricity will be turned off in several stages: in most consumers, the power will be off for 7 half-phases, while for three, it will be turned off once after lunch. For the Kyiv region, two power outages are planned for two-thirds of the consumers.

For the Dnipropetrovsk region, only one power outage per day is scheduled, which will occur from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. At the same time, in other areas such as the Chernihiv and Odesa regions, the situation is significantly more complicated. Due to systemic failures, nearly 90% of subscribers in Chernihiv Oblast are left without electricity.

Official comments

The head of "Ukrenergo," Vitaliy Zaychenko, noted that the lighting situation in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions is the most complicated due to continuous shelling of energy facilities. He also added that, if necessary, energy workers are prepared for any developments.

Energy expert Oleksandr Kharchenko from the Energy Research Center stated that full restoration of Ukraine's energy system may take up to 8 years after the end of hostilities, and in the future, periodic power outages can be expected in both winter and summer.

Ukrainians are urged to stay updated on the official pages of regional energy companies and to use electricity sparingly after it is turned back on according to the schedule.
