On Saturday, December 6, hourly power outages will be implemented again in Ukraine. As reported by "Ukrenergo," due to enemy shelling of energy facilities, outage schedules will be in effect throughout the country for the day.

Energy workers continue to eliminate the consequences of attacks by Russian occupation troops on the energy infrastructure, so electricity consumption restrictions will be imposed across all regions. Outages may last with a frequency of 0.5 to 2.5 shifts throughout the day.

Outage schedules in different regions

In particular, in Kyiv, electricity will be turned off according to a schedule of 12 half-shifts. During this process, there will be two phases of outages. A similar situation is observed in Kyiv region, where outages will occur twice a day for most consumers.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the capacity will be limited only once, while in other regions such as Kharkiv and Odesa, outages will also be conducted in several shifts.

Official calls to action for consumers

"Ukrenergo" urges Ukrainians to follow operational updates on the official pages of regional energy companies. Energy workers warn that the timing and volume of outages may change, and they ask citizens to consume electricity sparingly after it is restored according to the schedule.

The repercussions of massive rocket attacks, which struck the country's energy infrastructure, are already being felt. Alexander Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, notes that full restoration of the system could take up to 8 years after the end of hostilities. He also emphasizes the likelihood of temporary outages in both winter and summer periods due to peak temperatures.

In conclusion, "Ukrenergo" representative Vitaliy Zaychenko stated that the biggest problems with electricity are observed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions, where Russian troops regularly target energy facilities.
