Today, December 6, hourly electricity outage schedules are being implemented again in Ukraine. According to information from "Ukrenergo," the restrictions will last throughout the day in all regions. This decision is a result of mass attacks by Russian forces on Ukraine's energy facilities.

Power outage schedules

The created conditions foresee simultaneous power outages from 0.5 to 2.5 shifts. In particular, in the capital, Kyiv, electricity will be turned off in one or two stages, depending on the half-shift. At the same time, in the Kyiv region, more than two-thirds of consumers will remain without electricity twice a day.

The situation in other regions

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, electricity will be turned off only once a day in the first shift – from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The other shifts will face outages at different hours. According to experts, this is part of efforts to restore the energy infrastructure after enemy shelling.

The director of the Energy Research Center, Oleksandr Kharchenko, noted that the complete restoration of Ukraine's energy system could take up to eight years after the end of hostilities. He also emphasized that power outages could occur both in summer and winter.

Vitaliiy Zaychenko, the head of the board of Ukrenergo, warned about the possibility of a total blackout, but he stated that the likelihood of this scenario is low thanks to the continuous work of energy workers.

Recommendations for consumers

Citizens are advised to monitor information on official energy supplier pages and conserve electricity after it is turned on. It is important to be informed about schedules and prepared for possible changes in energy consumption plans.
