Situation in Ukraine's Energy System

On Sunday, December 28, most regions of Ukraine faced another schedule of hourly electricity outages due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure.

Kyiv Region and Capital

DTEK company published schedules of planned hourly outages for the capital region. Depending on the schedule, electricity will be unavailable for 6 to 11 hours in total. Meanwhile, Ukrenergo emphasized the possibility of emergency shutdowns.

Dnipropetrovsk Region

For residents of Dnipropetrovsk region, an even stricter rolling blackout schedule has been created: from 7 to 16.5 hours of total power outage.

Chernihiv Region

In the Chernihiv region, additional restrictions have been introduced: up to 9 hours without electricity are expected. The situation is especially critical in Oster and Kozelets communities.

Energy workers emphasize: schedules may change, so it is recommended to follow official regional energy company channels.
