Today, December 1, scheduled power outages are being implemented again in Ukraine due to the aftermath of attacks by Russia on the country's energy infrastructure. Energy workers have reported that electricity consumption restrictions will be in effect throughout the day from 00:00 to 23:59.
According to the information, hourly outages will be applied in all regions of Ukraine for household consumers, ranging from 0.5 to 3 shifts. Power limitation schedules will also apply for industrial consumers. Energy workers have urged citizens to follow updates on the official pages of regional energy companies, as the time and volume of outages may change.
The ongoing attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine since September have caused significant damage to major thermal and hydroelectric power plants. The most difficult situation is observed in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions. According to representatives of Ukrenergo, if there are no new shellings, the outage schedules may be softened; however, the most affected regions may not experience such changes.
We remind you that on the night of November 28 to 29, mass rocket and drone strikes were carried out on energy facilities in Kyiv and nearby regions. As a result of these attacks, more than half a million consumers were left without electricity.
Ukrenergo has called on Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly, especially during times when power is supplied according to the schedule.
