Starting from November 22, 2023, the list of goods and services in Ukraine, for which money received through the "National Cashback" program can be spent, has been updated. The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine announced that these changes were necessary to synchronize the program with the state initiative "Winter Support."
Now Ukrainians can use the accumulated funds for the following categories:
- utilities;
- postal services;
- food products in stores and supermarkets;
- medications and medical devices;
- books and other printed materials;
- charity, including donations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other charitable purposes.
Some of the updated categories, such as expenses for medications, medical devices, and books, became available for use immediately. The previous list still included mobile communication, cinema, and dining establishments. The updated spending conditions will remain in effect until June 30, 2026.
According to statistics, over 7.5 million Ukrainians are already participating in the "National Cashback" program, receiving more than 4 billion hryvnias in payments. A cashback of 10% is accrued for the purchase of approximately 400 thousand goods produced in Ukraine at partner outlets.
To participate in the program, buyers need to register in the "Diia" app, choose one of the 20 participating banks, and open a "National Cashback" card. Manufacturers can also join the program by submitting the relevant application on the "Diia" portal.
This project is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the National Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Tax Service, Oschadbank, and authorized banks of Ukraine, while the technological partner is the international payment system Mastercard.
