Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybyha announced another massive missile strike by Russian troops on Ukrainian cities on the night of January 24, which occurred during peace negotiations in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the diplomat, Russian President Vladimir Putin deliberately ordered the strike at the moment when delegations were gathering in Abu Dhabi to advance the peace process under US auspices.
Attack Consequences
As a result of the missile strike, Ukraine's largest cities - Kyiv and Kharkiv - were affected. In particular:
- In Kharkiv, Russian drones hit residential buildings in the Industrial and Nemyshlianskyi districts
- A multi-story building, a dormitory for displaced persons, a hospital, and a maternity ward were damaged
- 14 people were injured, including a pregnant woman and a child
Chernihiv was left without electricity after the shelling.
Ukraine's Response
Sybyha emphasized that "Putin's place is not at the peace negotiation table, but in the defendant's seat of a special tribunal". The minister thanked air defense units for their effective work and partners who are helping Ukraine.
