The energy company DTEK has published hourly electricity outage schedules for the Dnipropetrovsk region, which are significantly more severe compared to other regions of Ukraine.
Outage Schedules for Dnipropetrovsk Region
According to the company, consumers in queues 1.1, 2.1, and 2.2 will experience the longest power outages – a total of 13 hours for each queue. The smallest restrictions are expected for queues 1.2 and 6.2 – 8.5 hours without electricity.
Reasons for Limitations
Ukrenergo emphasizes that introducing outage schedules is a forced measure due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Situation in the Energy System
According to Alexander Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Research Center, the Ukrainian energy system is capable of recovering after attacks, but is gradually exhausting available equipment reserves.
In some cities, such as Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih, power supply can be restored within hours, while in Dnipro, this can take up to a day.
The main problem currently lies not in organizing recovery work, but in funding for purchasing new equipment and maintaining the energy system's stability.
