On December 26, scheduled power outage schedules will be in effect in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk region. DTEK company published detailed restriction schedules after Russia's nighttime attack on energy facilities.

According to Ukrenergo, on December 26 electricity restrictions will be applied in most regions of Ukraine for both household and industrial consumers.

Outage schedules in Kyiv and region

DTEK published planned outage schedules on its Telegram channel. Detailed information regarding specific queues and restriction hours is available on the company's official resources.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, December 25, outage schedules were cancelled until the end of the day in five regions: Lviv, Volyn, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil.

Emergency outages due to RF attack

On the night of December 24-25, Russia attacked Ukrainian energy facilities, as a result of which consumers in five regions were left without power - Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odesa.

Following Ukrenergo's instruction, emergency outages were introduced in Sumy region for queues 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, as well as in Poltava region covering five queues.

Reasons for outages - not lack of generation

Acting head of the State Energy Supervision Anatoliy Zamulko explained that outage schedules are in effect not due to lack of generation, but due to significant network damage after Russian strikes.

"Regarding the overall generation situation, all our generation is working today. We have reached a sufficiently powerful indicator with available generation," he stated.

According to Zamulko, the problem lies in networks - due to significant damage after RF attacks, network restrictions are in effect, as ensuring normal electricity transmission is difficult.

Ukraine has agreed electricity flows with EU partners and imports electricity for system balancing when needed. However, restrictions remain due to network damage.

The Ministry of Energy reported that emergency restoration work continues around the clock, and hourly outages and power restrictions for business operate throughout the country.
