Russian Aggression Against Ukraine's Capital
On the night of December 27, Russia launched a large-scale missile attack on Kyiv and the region, using various types of weapons, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones.
Course of the Attack
- Air Force detected drone groups moving from the northern direction towards Kyiv
- The attack began after the first hour of the night
- Kinzhals launched from Mig-31K and cruise missiles were used
Attack Consequences
A man from Ivano-Frankivsk region was injured, receiving shrapnel wounds. Infrastructure damage was recorded:
- Windows of a multi-story building were damaged in Vyshhorod
- Production facilities and vehicles were damaged in Boryspil district
- A fire occurred at a construction site in Buchan district
Authorities' Response
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko urged residents to stay in shelters. Air Force and air defense are actively working to protect the capital.
According to reports, the main target of the Russian attack is critical infrastructure, particularly in the energy sector.
