A woman who received shrapnel wounds to the head during the Russian drone attack on December 23 died in a Kyiv hospital. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The victim was in the hospital in critical condition after drone debris fell near a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. As a result of the injuries sustained, the woman died in the medical facility.
Five Injured in December 23 Attack
As a reminder, as a result of the morning attack on Kyiv on December 23 in the Sviatoshynskyi district, five people were injured, including a child. The condition of one of the victims was critical — this woman later died in the hospital.
New Attack on Christmas Night
On the night of December 25, the aggressor country Russia again attacked Ukraine with a massive drone strike. In total, the enemy launched 131 strike UAVs of "Shahed," "Gerbera" and other types.
Air defense forces destroyed 106 enemy drones. Explosive sounds were heard in the Kyiv region — air defense was working, destroying enemy drones.
Air Raid Alert Across the Country
The Air Forces of Ukraine warned about UAV movement from the south of Chernihiv region toward Kyiv and Boryspil. One of the drones changed course toward Vyshhorod and the capital.
Besides Kyiv region, sirens sounded in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
Kyiv residents and regional inhabitants were urged to stay in shelters until the end of the air raid alert and observe information silence — not to film or share military operations online.
