A solemn ceremony was held in Kropyvnytskyi to honor the memory of
participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster. The event took place as part of
the preparations for the Day of Remembrance for Liquidators, celebrated on December 14.

At the flower-laying ceremony at the memorial to "Warriors of Chernobyl," representatives of
local authorities, the public, and veterans who participated in the liquidation of the consequences of this
massive technological disaster attended.

"Today we honor the feat of the liquidators, who, at the cost of their own health and lives,
protected Ukraine from even more serious consequences of the Chernobyl tragedy," said the director
of the Department of Social and Veteran Policy. He emphasized that the courage
and self-sacrifice of these people are examples of boundless dedication to their duty.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen liquidators, after which
participants laid flowers at the memorial signs. Such events are traditionally held
in Ukraine to preserve the memory of the heroism of those who fought against the consequences of Chernobyl.
