Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko highlighted the contribution of energy workers to the life support of the capital, congratulating them on their professional holiday. Klitschko emphasized the importance of the work done by specialists from KP "Kyivteploenergo" and "DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks," who ensure stable energy supply amidst challenges and risks.
In his address, Klitschko underscored the experience and dedication of the energy workers who have been working for four years under wartime conditions and missile attacks, ensuring stability of light, heat, and water in the city. Since the start of the full-scale war, Kyiv has been subjected to nearly thirty missile attacks targeting energy systems. However, thanks to the efforts of the energy workers, the city has commenced the heating season as planned and continues the modernization of the energy system.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed gratitude to everyone working on restoring electricity supply. He highlighted the important role of energy workers in ensuring normal life for millions of Ukrainians and their contribution to maintaining stability.
Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko announced the initiation of an annual Cabinet of Ministers award for workers in the energy sector, noting their importance for the economic development of the country. Svyrydenko emphasized that energy workers restore heat, light, and connection for people, as well as faith in victory.
This recognition is not only an expression of gratitude but also motivation for all energy workers who strive to maintain the well-being of Ukrainians in wartime conditions.
