As a result of Russian attacks with drones and other types of weapons in Kharkiv region on December 24, one person was killed and 15 people were wounded. The occupiers carried out targeted strikes on a thermal power plant in the suburbs of Kharkiv, causing a significant voltage drop in the city.

According to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, a 51-year-old man was killed in Kharkiv. Among the wounded were 14 men and one woman. In the village of Mytrofanivka in Dvurichanska community, a 64-year-old man was injured, and in the village of Podoly in Kurylivska community, a 56-year-old resident was wounded.

Scale of destruction

Russian forces used various types of weapons against the region, including:

  • Multiple rocket launcher systems
  • Guided aerial bombs
  • Drones

In Kharkiv, an apartment building, three private houses, two garages and two cars were damaged. In Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, three private houses were damaged. In Kupiansk district, a car was destroyed by a strike in Mytrofanivka.

Also in Kharkiv district, Russian shelling damaged a car in Male Vesele and a service station in Podvirky, and in Derhachi - a civilian enterprise, a building and a warehouse. In Lozivsk district, the occupiers damaged a private house, warehouses and a car in Bashylivka.

Energy system restored

Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery - Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba reported the restoration of energy and heat supply in Kharkiv region after yesterday's attacks.

"Russia deliberately uses energy terror during the period of deteriorating weather conditions. All settlements in the region are provided with heat and electricity," Kuleba noted.

Continuation of attacks

Already on December 25 in the evening, a powerful explosion was heard again in Kharkiv. Around 19:25, an air raid alert was declared in the city. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not provide detailed information about the nature of the threat.

Russian occupiers continue terrorist attacks on peaceful cities of Ukraine, in particular on December 25 they also shelled Chernihiv and Kherson, where there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.
