The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine conducted a unique special operation, as a result of which the commander of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" Denis Kapustin remained alive, despite previously spread information about his death.
On December 27, the RDK reported the death of Denis Kapustin during a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction due to an FPV drone attack. However, intelligence refuted this information.
Details of the Special Operation
According to the GUR, the operation lasted more than a month. Russian special services allocated $500,000 to eliminate Kapustin. During a briefing, the special unit commander reported to GUR Head Kyrylo Budanov about the successful preservation of the RDK commander's life.
Participants' Comments
Kyrylo Budanov personally congratulated Denis Kapustin "on returning to life" and noted that the funds received from Russian special services would go to help Ukrainian units.
Kapustin himself assured that his temporary absence did not affect the unit's work and they are ready to continue performing combat missions.
