On the night of November 25, 2025, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv and Boyarka, using ballistic missiles and strike drones. According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the aim of this combination of strikes concerns energy infrastructure facilities.
According to the State Emergency Service, one person was killed and at least seven others were injured during the attack, including three children. Authorities also reported the evacuation of 46 residents from a multi-story building in Bila Tserkva, where partial destruction of the building occurred as a result of the attack.
Consequences of the attacks on Kyiv
Fires and destruction were noted in the capital's districts, particularly in Pechersk and the Dnipro district. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that missiles struck a 22-story residential building, where a large fire broke out on the 4th to 7th floors.
It was also noted that in certain areas of the capital there was no electricity and water due to the destruction of energy networks.
Operation to address the aftermath
Rescuers continue to extinguish fires and conduct rescue operations. The fire in the multi-story building, in particular, has been localized, and debris removal is currently underway to search for possible victims.
A total of dozens of missile launches have been recorded in Ukraine, underscoring the scale of Russia's attacks on Ukraine. According to the Air Force Command, over the past week alone, more than 60 missiles and 1,050 strike drones have been used against Ukrainian cities.
