In Kyiv, as a result of a missile attack by Russian troops, one man has died. Seven other people were injured during the massive shelling that occurred on the night of November 25. These events took place in the Pechersk and Dnipro districts of the capital.

Details of the attack

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Timur Tkachенко, residential apartment buildings were affected. As a result of missile debris hitting the Pechersk district, a fire broke out on the fourth to seventh floors of one of the buildings.

Additionally, in the Dnipro district, another direct hit occurred on a nine-story building, which also caused a large fire on the upper floors. Rescuers promptly arrived at the scene, and as of the morning, information about the injured continues to be clarified.

Course of the attack

According to the Air Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops used various types of missiles, including sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr," as well as ballistic missiles and attack drones. The attack began around one o'clock in the morning when powerful explosions echoed over Kyiv.

Power supply and water supply disruptions were also recorded in some areas of Kyiv, which was confirmed by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.

Government reaction

Vitali Klitschko emphasized the seriousness of the situation in the capital and urged all citizens to adhere to safety regulations and remain in shelters during air alerts. Currently, emergency services continue to address the aftermath of the attack, working on fire localization and providing assistance to the injured.
