The medical staff of the Trabzonspor football club has made a cautious decision regarding Ukrainian winger Oleksandr Zubkov ahead of the cup match against Istanbulspor.
According to a 61SAAT source, the club's coaching staff decided not to risk the player's health and will not include him in the lineup for the match on January 14.
Reasons for Missing the Match
Doctors do not recommend forcing Zubkov's recovery process to avoid a possible recurrence of the injury. The medical staff's main goal is to prepare the footballer for an important Superleague match.
Player Statistics
In the current season, Oleksandr Zubkov has played 20 matches for Trabzonspor, scoring two goals and providing three assists. The team currently ranks third in the Turkish championship.
Zubkov is expected to return to the lineup for the match against Kocaelispor on January 18.
