At the Winter Olympic Games 2026, currently taking place, competitions have already been held in two disciplines, namely men's snowboarding and women's ski jumping.
Japan on the Podium
In the men's snowboarding final held today, Japanese athlete Kira Kimura scored 179.5 points, becoming the first gold medalist for his country. His compatriot Ryouma Kimata took second place with a score of 171.5 points. The bronze medal went to Chinese athlete Su Yiming with 168.5 points.
Women's Ski Jumping
In the women's ski jumping event, the gold also went to Norwegian athlete Anni Oden Strøm, who achieved a score of 267.3 points. The silver was awarded to Slovenian jumper Nika Prevc with 266.2 points, while the bronze went to Japanese athlete Nozomi Maruyama with 261.8 points.
Unfortunately, there were no Ukrainian athletes in these disciplines. The competitions continue, and many fans eagerly await the further stages of the Olympic Games.
