In the coming days, Ukraine will be affected by an anticyclone, which will bring a change in weather conditions. According to meteorologist Natalia Didenko's forecasts, Kyiv is expecting cold weather and precipitation in the form of wet snow over the weekend.

Today, December 13, the capital is expected to have no precipitation, with temperatures fluctuating between -2 and 0 degrees. However, starting tomorrow, December 14, the first signs of worsening weather will appear—wet snow is likely in the north and west of the country, and snowfall is also possible in Kyiv.

Weekend forecasts

During Sunday, similar weather phenomena will persist. Daytime temperatures will hover around zero degrees, while nighttime frosts may reach -3 degrees. Meteorologists warn of icy conditions on the roads, which could complicate movement in the city.

According to reports from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, light rain mixed with snow is possible in the morning hours on Sunday, closer to 0°C, and some light precipitation is also not ruled out during the day. The wind over the weekend will be strong—with gusts of 15-20 m/s—which will also affect the perceived temperature.

Recommendations for citizens

For safety reasons, meteorologists advise drivers to be particularly vigilant on the roads and to decrease their speed due to the possibility of snow accumulation and icy conditions. Meteopaths and individuals with a sensitive reaction to weather changes should prepare for fluctuations in atmospheric pressure.
