Massive Electricity Outages Expected Across Ukraine

The National Energy System Operator "Ukrenergo" has published power outage schedules for January 21st for all regions of Ukraine. This is reported by the company's official sources.

According to experts, the schedules include hourly disconnections for household consumers and power limitations for industrial enterprises. These strict measures are a consequence of massive rocket attacks by Russian military forces on the country's energy infrastructure.

Details of the Situation

On the night of January 20th, Russia launched a powerful strike against Ukraine, attacking Kyiv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa. According to Air Force data, the enemy used Zircon and Iskander missiles, cruise missiles, and hundreds of drones.

The consequences of the attack were catastrophic: in Kyiv, thousands of houses were left without heating at a temperature of -15°C, with water supply problems also reported.

Recommendations for the Population

Ukrenergo specialists urge Ukrainians to consume electricity economically and follow disconnection schedules on local energy company websites.

Recall that earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared a state of emergency in the energy sector due to large-scale infrastructure damage.
