With just four days to go until the start of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Ukrainian athletes have already begun settling into the Olympic villages. All teams will be located near the competition venues in northern Italy.

Ukraine's Sports Village

The format of the Olympics involves decentralized accommodation. This means that instead of one large village, the organizers have created several autonomous villages directly next to the sports facilities. As reported by Resonance, most residential modules and complexes will be designed for further use after the competitions.

Features of Team Accommodation

  • Milan: Figure skaters and short-track representatives
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo: Athletes in luge, skeleton, and women's alpine skiing.
  • Livigno: Participants in snowboarding and freestyle, built with compliance to environmental standards.
  • Antholz: Biathletes taking advantage of the existing hotel infrastructure without new constructions.
  • Prazzo: A separate modular village has been prepared for cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and Nordic combined.
  • Bormio: Male alpine skiers in the updated hotels of the town.

The first to arrive at the Olympic villages were representatives of the Ukrainian team in luge and skeleton, preparing for responsible competitions on the international stage.
