In Ukraine, power outage schedules remain effective on December 9, which “Ukrenergo” emphasized the necessity to adhere to. Throughout this day, restrictions on electricity supply will continue in the country, resulting in simultaneous outages affecting from 2 to 4 groups.
The company stated that the restrictions will last due to ongoing strikes on energy facilities, which have a significant impact on the energy system.
The situation with power outages
Today, December 8, time-based power outage schedules have already been implemented in many regions of Ukraine, ranging from 2.5 to 4 groups. Among the reasons for these measures are the high level of electricity consumption and the emergence of a deficit in the energy system.
Representatives of “Ukrainian Distribution Networks” added that it is currently impossible to estimate the duration of outages, as it all depends on the scale of destruction of energy infrastructure due to attacks by the Russian Federation. The need for constant monitoring of the situation urged the population to consume energy sparingly, especially during supply restoration periods.
Recent strikes on energy facilities
In recent days, new attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine have caused serious damages. Currently, the entire country is dealing with the aftermath of mass shelling that lasted until December 6, including strikes on generation facilities in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions.
The energy crisis in Ukraine requires urgent response, so Ukrainians are encouraged to follow the news from regional energy companies and adhere to specialists' recommendations.
