In the final match of the 15th round of the Portuguese championship, Lisbon's Sporting secured a convincing victory over Vitória Guimarães with a score of 4:1, continuing their fight for the championship title.

Dominance from the first half

Despite being a difficult opponent, Vitória could not withstand the pressure from the coach's charges and were trailing 0:2 after the first half.

Comeback attempt and final verdict

At the beginning of the second half, the hosts tried to reduce the deficit. In the 46th minute (according to other sources - in the 50th), Arcangelo scored a consolation goal for Vitória, giving local fans hope for a comeback.

However, this hope quickly faded. In the 63rd minute, an unfortunate own goal by Castillo returned Sporting to a comfortable three-goal advantage. Araújo put the final point in the match in the 79th minute, sealing the crushing 4:1 score.
