The head coach of Kyiv's Dynamo, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, received valuable advice from the club legend Vladyslav Vashchuk, who believes that the coach should not seek additional motivation from his players, as the footballers have contracts and personal ambitions.

Vashchuk, who once defended the colors of Dynamo himself, noted that the current problems of the team cannot be entirely linked to Shovkovskyi's work. In his opinion, players should have internal motivation to showcase a high level of play. “I don't see the point in his dismissal. Oleksandr Volodymyrovych is trying to do everything as he sees fit,” Vashchuk said.

Currently, Dynamo is in 24th position in the Conference League, having only three points from three matches. Vashchuk emphasized that a successful match against the Cypriot side Omonia this week is critically important for the team, and that a victory will not only bring three points but also significant moral dividends.

Expectations from the match with Omonia

Vladyslav Vashchuk expressed hope that Dynamo will manage to secure a win, as the team is focused on recovery after three consecutive losses in the league. “The clouds are gathering over Dynamo today, and the Kyiv team is clearly not in the position that fans expect,” he added.

Team problems

Vashchuk also noted that the current players of Dynamo are mentally different from their predecessors, and this also affects the team’s performance. In his opinion, to overcome difficulties, players need to be more active in ball possession and decision-making on the field.

The next match for Dynamo against Omonia will take place on November 27 at 19:45 Kyiv time on the home field of the Cypriot club.
