On the night of "today," February 7, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on western regions of Ukraine, specifically Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. According to the Air Forces, strategic bombers Tu-95MS, Tu-160, and Tu-22M3 were deployed to launch cruise missiles towards Ukraine.
In particular, the attack affected cities such as Rivne and Burshtyn, where sounds of explosions were heard throughout the night and morning. As of 07:20, monitoring channels confirmed that missile strikes were recorded in Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv regions. In Rivne, a secondary explosion occurred at 7:15, confirming the critical situation in this region.
The attack, which included several hundred "Shahed" type kamikaze drones, led to the declaration of an air alert in most regions. The Air Forces warned of the threat of drones moving toward Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, and other western regions of Ukraine.
