Today, November 29, electricity consumption restrictions have been reintroduced in the Kyiv region and all regions of Ukraine. According to NEC "Ukrenergo," the schedules for hourly power outages will be in effect around the clock from 00:00 to 23:59.
The volume of power outages will range from 0.5 to 2.5 shifts simultaneously. The reason for this decision is the consequences of large-scale Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities that occurred earlier. As a result of these attacks, a significant portion of the energy infrastructure, including thermal and hydroelectric power plants, has been damaged.
Ukrenergo noted that the situation will remain challenging, particularly in Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, where the energy system continues to be subjected to attacks. In addition to power outages for residential consumers, there will also be capacity restrictions for industrial enterprises.
"Attention! The time and extent of the restrictions may change, so it is important to monitor the news on the official pages of the regional energy companies in your area," the company's representatives emphasized.
These measures are being implemented in the face of serious challenges to the country's energy system, which require coordinated efforts from all participants in the energy market.
