On Wednesday, December 10th, power outages will begin in all regions of Ukraine due to the consequences of Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. According to the State Company "Ukrenergo," these measures have been introduced to limit electricity consumption.

Reasons for Outages

The main reasons for implementing power outages are the massive missile and drone attacks by Russia that damaged energy facilities. According to official information, the situation in the energy system may change, but details about the schedules and duration of outages are not yet being disclosed.

Schedules for Kyiv and Other Regions

For Kyiv, the energy company "DTEK" has already published the outage schedules. Throughout the day on December 10th, power outages are planned in the capital two to three times. In regions such as Kharkiv, the duration of outages will last from two to four rounds.

Official Recommendations

Experts from "Ukrenergo" urge citizens to consume electricity sparingly when power supply is restored according to the schedule. It is also emphasized that the outage schedules may continue throughout the winter, and according to optimistic scenarios, they may only be canceled in April.

Government Actions to Improve the Situation

The Ukrainian government continues to take measures to improve the situation with stable electricity supply. The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyrydenko, reported that regional military administrations are required to review the lists of critical electricity consumers, excluding those that are not of primary importance.

The government also plans to reduce electricity consumption at public lighting facilities that are not critically important, which will help conserve resources for household consumers.

In the current situation, the population of Ukraine is urged to closely monitor official information regarding the outage schedules and recommendations from local administrations.
