Today, November 24, Ukraine is once again facing electricity supply problems due to enemy attacks. According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the army of the Russian Federation shelled energy infrastructure in four regions: Donetsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk at night.
The most affected region is Dnipropetrovsk, where over 60 thousand consumers were left without electricity. In particular, about 10 thousand subscribers remain without electricity in Kharkiv region. Energy workers from "Ukrenergo" are currently working non-stop to restore electricity supply.
Power Outage Schedules
According to a statement from the press service of "Ukrenergo," today in all regions of Ukraine, hourly outage schedules are being implemented with a total duration from 00:00 to 23:59. The volume of outages varies from 1 to 2.5 shifts. In addition, schedules for limiting capacity have been introduced for industrial consumers.
The reason for these restrictions is the consequences of mass attacks by Russian military forces on energy facilities, as well as unfavorable weather conditions that have led to power outages in 45 settlements in Lviv region. “We urge consumers to use electricity rationally throughout the day, especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening,” the Ministry of Energy noted.
Since the beginning of autumn, Russian troops have intensified shelling of Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which is critically important during the heating season.
