In Kyiv, power outage schedules have been canceled until tomorrow, report representatives from the city's energy management. The new order states that stabilization power outages will continue from 00:00 to 21:00. Residents of Kyiv can track current information about outages on the official website, as well as on special Telegram and Viber channels.
Let us remind you that on November 27, schedules for outages were reintroduced in Kyiv, which may last up to four hours. This is related to recent attacks that caused significant damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The Ministry of Energy reported that all major thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the country suffered damage as a result of attacks by the Russian Federation.
As of November 28, due to new missile attacks, energy workers were forced to introduce emergency power outages in three regions: Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava. The day before, Ukrainian forces repelled attacks, shooting down 72 drones; however, this did not stop the missile strikes that simultaneously hit 10 locations.
Context and Further Actions
The Kyiv authorities are urging residents to be prepared for possible power outages, as the situation remains tense. Energy workers continue to work on restoring the stability of power supply; however, restoration timelines depend on the security situation in the country.
