"Ukrenergo" announced the introduction of hourly electricity disconnection schedules in all regions of Ukraine on January 16 due to the consequences of Russian rocket and drone attacks on critical energy infrastructure.

Limitation Details

According to Ukrenergo, disconnection schedules will be applied to residential and industrial consumers. The time and volume of restrictions may vary depending on the current situation in the energy system.

Recommendations to Consumers

The company urges citizens to:

  • Follow current information on official regional energy company pages
  • Conserve electricity during scheduled availability
  • Be prepared for possible changes in disconnection schedules

Reasons for Limitations

The main reason for introducing restrictions is the consequences of massive Russian rocket and drone attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities. In particular, combined heat and power plants in Kyiv were previously damaged, which complicated the overall energy situation.

Experts emphasize that this winter is the most challenging for the Ukrainian energy system since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
