On Saturday, December 6, measures to limit electricity consumption were implemented across all regions of Ukraine, including Transcarpathia. According to NEC "Ukrenergo," the hourly power outage schedules will be in effect throughout the day.

The restrictions were introduced due to large-scale missile and drone attacks by Russian occupation forces on Ukraine's energy facilities. Energy workers continue to restore infrastructure, but unfortunately, there are still interruptions in electricity supply in the regions.

Power Outage Schedules

In Transcarpathia, as in other regions, the power outage schedules provide for restrictions ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 turns throughout the day. It is noted that the schedules may change depending on the situation in the country's energy system.

According to Ukrenergo, energy workers strongly recommend that consumers monitor operational information on the official websites of regional energy companies and be prepared for changes in the schedules.

Possible Consequences

Director of the Energy Research Center Oleksandr Kharchenko noted that the complete restoration of Ukraine's energy system could take up to 8 years after the end of hostilities. Therefore, Ukrainians are likely to face power supply interruptions numerous times, both in winter and summer months.

It is worth noting that there is a small probability of a complete blackout, but energy workers are prepared for various scenarios. Weather conditions also impact the work of energy workers and may complicate the situation.

Thus, Ukrainians and residents of Transcarpathia, in particular, should be prepared for possible restrictions in the power grid in the coming days.
