In eastern Ukraine, during a combat mission, Ukrainian fighter pilot Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Ivanov died. The information about the incident was confirmed by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yevgeny Ivanov, senior navigator of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, tragically died at noon on December 8. Military officials are currently investigating the circumstances of his death in detail.

This incident occurred a year after the death of another Su-27 pilot, Alexander Borovik, who also served in the 39th Brigade in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
