As part of the "National Cashback" program, Ukrainians will receive new opportunities for spending. The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has announced updates to the categories of goods and services on which funds accumulated on the National Cashback card can be spent.

What can be paid for using cashback?

Starting from November 22, 2023, the list of services and goods that can be purchased with the received funds has changed. Now, Ukrainians can reliably use 1000 UAH for:

  • utilities;
  • medicines and medical devices;
  • books and other printed products;
  • food products in stores and supermarkets;
  • postal services;
  • charity, including donations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Some of these categories can be used right now, for instance, for medications and books.

Payments under the program

Payments for the "National Cashback" program for September will take place on November 29-30, and will continue monthly until June 2026. The Ministry announced that in September, 3.8 million Ukrainians will receive over 598 million UAH. This will be the first tranche of payments under the new schedule.

Assurances from the Ministry of Economy

Although there were earlier concerns about the program closing in May 2026, the Ministry of Economy confirmed that the program will continue its operation, and the information about its closure pertains only to technical changes.

Since the launch of the program, over 7.5 million Ukrainians have already participated, receiving over 4 billion UAH in payments. A total of over 1870 manufacturers are involved in the project, offering at least 400,000 goods that qualify for a 10% cashback.
