Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have carried out strikes on logistics facilities belonging to the Russian online marketplace Wildberries in several regions of Russia. The announcement was made by the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.
According to Brovdi, one of the targeted facilities was a major Wildberries warehouse located in Krasny Bor, Leningrad Region. In his statement, he said the logistics center had been put out of operation, using wordplay based on the company's name, Wildberries.
The commander also reported that over the past 18 days, Ukrainian long-range drones had targeted 15 facilities that, according to Ukrainian military officials, were involved in supporting Russia's war effort. He said 13 of those targets have already been successfully hit.
On August 4, drones also struck Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Tver regions, meaning several of the company's major logistics hubs were targeted on the same day.
Russian authorities have not released official information about the extent of the damage or any potential impact on the company's operations. Ukrainian officials have likewise not disclosed further operational details.
In recent months, Ukraine has increasingly targeted military and logistics infrastructure inside Russia, arguing that such facilities contribute to sustaining Russia's military operations.
