Details of the Russian Military Attack on Passenger Train

Russian troops committed another terrorist act by attacking the passenger train "Barvinkove-Lviv-Chop" with three Shahed-type drones in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, two passengers were injured.

Event Chronology

According to Vice Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba, Russian troops struck three drones in front of the locomotive and directly at the passenger car, causing a fire.

There were 291 passengers on board the train. The train crew immediately began evacuating people. Two injured passengers were hospitalized in medical facilities.

Authorities' Reaction

Oleksiy Kuleba reported that reserve buses would be organized for evacuated passengers. Transportation would also be provided for those waiting for the train at intermediate stations.

Ukrainian authorities qualify such attacks as war crimes by the Russian Federation, which are deliberately targeted against civilian infrastructure.
