The National Energy Company Ukrenergo announced planned electricity consumption restrictions on January 16 in all regions of Ukraine due to the consequences of Russian rocket and drone attacks.
Restriction Details
According to the company, two types of restrictions will be applied on Friday:
- Hourly Disconnection Schedules (HDS) for the population
- Power Limitation Schedules (PLS) for industrial facilities and businesses

Ukrenergo emphasizes that the specific time of electricity outages is determined by local energy distribution companies. Citizens are advised to check schedules on official websites and pages of regional operators.
Important to Know
Energy professionals warn that the situation in the power system is dynamic and schedules may change. After power is restored according to the schedule, it is not recommended to turn on powerful devices simultaneously.
Ukrenergo calls on the population and businesses to be economical in electricity consumption and prepare for temporary restrictions.
