Ukrenergo reported changes in electricity supply schedules in Kyiv and several regions of Ukraine due to a complex situation in the energy system, caused by Russian missile strikes and unfavorable weather conditions.
Situation in Kyiv
Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak reported that emergency power outages are currently in effect. Specifically, emergency electricity restrictions are being applied in the Left Bank and partially on the right bank of the city.
Regional Features
In addition to Kyiv, emergency power outages have also been introduced in other regions of Ukraine:
- Kharkiv Region
- Odesa Region
- Donetsk Region
Authorities' Commentary
According to Roman Andarak, there is currently a gradual transition from emergency restrictions to predictable planned outage schedules. The Ministry of Energy did not specify the timeframes for returning to normal electricity supply.
Energy workers urge citizens to use electricity sparingly when it is available according to the schedule.
