As of January 12, hourly electricity supply restrictions are in effect in several regions of Ukraine due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure.

Situation in the Regions

According to Ukrenergo, electricity restrictions have been introduced in many regions of the country. In particular:

  • In the Kyiv region, the maximum period without electricity will be almost 11 hours
  • In the Dnipropetrovsk region, electricity supply will be limited to 11 hours per day
  • In Kyiv, the maximum outage period will be almost 12 hours

Reasons for Restrictions

The main reason for introducing outage schedules is the consequences of constant Russian missile and drone attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. Ukrenergo emphasized that the situation may change.

Recommendations for the Population

Energy experts advise citizens to clarify outage schedules on the official pages of regional energy companies in their region.
