Russian Troops Deliberately Attack Critical Infrastructure

Naftogaz Group Head Serhiy Koretskyi reported another wave of Russian attacks on Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure, with a clear tactical goal of maximally destabilizing life support systems during the cold period.

Attack Details

According to Koretskyi, Russian troops are using "Shaheds" and artillery to shell extraction facilities and thermal power plants in various regions. In particular, facilities in Kherson and other regions have been damaged.

Enemy Strategy

"It is obvious that these attacks are synchronized with the cold snap. The enemy is trying to take advantage of the frost and peak loads to make the system's operation as difficult as possible and disable it," the Naftogaz head emphasized.

Response and Recovery

Immediately after the shelling, emergency brigades, technical services, and specialized company units were involved in eliminating the consequences. Restoration work on damaged facilities is ongoing in an enhanced mode.

The priority remains people's safety and ensuring stable operation of the energy system.
