Ukrainian singer Lida Lee officially confirmed her romantic relationship with TV host and serviceman Daniel Salem by presenting her new song "Similar" and its candid music video.
First public declaration of love
"This premiere is special for me. I'm telling about my relationship through song for the first time. I'm confessing I'm in love for the first time. I'm opening my soul so openly for the first time," the artist shared.
The song "Similar" tells a romantic story of two lovers, filled with love, care and tenderness. As the artist's team explains, the track shows how people living together develop similar habits, clothing style, jokes and much more.
Intimate scenes from personal life
The music video is filled with scenes from the couple's private life, filmed in the house where they live together. In the video, Lida Lee and Daniel Salem don't hide their feelings for each other, showing romantic moments, cozy evenings, cooking dinner together and even their pets.
On her Instagram page, the singer posted a photo together with Salem with a laconic caption: "No longer friends".
From friendship to love
Rumors about the romance between the singer and serviceman appeared back in 2023 — after Lida Lee ended her five-year relationship with her boyfriend. That same year, Daniel Salem also announced his divorce from his wife after 17 years of relationship.
Despite online discussions, the couple repeatedly denied romance rumors, emphasizing that they were just friends. "We really became very close friends during the war, and Danya was the person who first supported me during a difficult period," the singer previously shared.
