Russian Aggression Caused Large-Scale Electricity Supply Problems

On the night of January 20, Russian troops launched a powerful combined strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities, resulting in serious electricity supply issues in several regions.

Scale of Damage

According to the Ministry of Energy, as a result of the attack, consumers in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Rivne, and Kharkiv regions were left without electricity.

Most Difficult Situation

The most critical situation developed in the capital region. Emergency teams from other regions have been involved in restoring electricity and heat supply.

Attack Details

The Russian combined attack affected Kyiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia region, Chornomorsk, and other regions. Critical infrastructure damage was recorded, with casualties and injured reported.

Electricity Supply Limitations

Distribution system operators are forced to apply network restrictions. Hourly disconnection schedules are temporarily suspended, especially in the Odesa region.
