Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina successfully advanced to the final of the WTA 250 tournament in Auckland, defeating American Iva Jovic in the semi-final with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:2.
In the decisive match, Svitolina, who is ranked 13th in the world, will face China's 57th-ranked player Wang Xinyu. Interestingly, earlier this year, the Ukrainian had already played in the final of the same tournament in Auckland, where she lost in three sets to American Coco Gauff.
The tournament has a prize fund of $283,347, and for Elina, this is a chance to win her 19th career title at WTA tournaments. The final match will take place on January 11.
