Kyiv's Dynamo ended their European season on a positive note, defeating the Armenian team Noah with a score of 2:0 in the sixth round match of the UEFA Conference League. The game took place in Lublin, Poland, and was the debut for the new permanent head coach of the team, Ihor Kostiuk.
The first goal was scored in the 27th minute by Vladyslav Kabayev, completing Kyiv's quick combination after an assist from Nazar Voloshyn. However, the main event was the debut scoring of 19-year-old Matvii Ponomarenko. The young forward successfully played with his head in the 50th minute after a pass from Vladyslav Dubinchak, doubling Dynamo's advantage.
Despite the victory, Dynamo could not advance to the playoffs, finishing in 26th place among 36 clubs. The team lost the chance to proceed to the next round in advance, suffering four defeats in the previous five rounds of the group stage. Among them were losses to England's Crystal Palace and Turkey's Samsunspor.
After finishing their performances in the Champions League and Europa League, the team focused on the Conference League but failed to make it into the top 24 to continue the fight. Ponomarenko's European debut was special, having previously scored eight goals in six matches in the UEFA Youth League.
Thus, the team ended their European cup performances this season with two victories and hopes to improve their results in future tournaments.
