Tragic Death of the Russian Volunteer Corps Commander
During the night on the Zaporizhzhia front direction, the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) Denis Kapustin, also known by the callsign "WhiteRex", was killed. According to preliminary unit data, the commander died as a result of an FPV drone strike while performing a combat mission.
Biographical Background
Denis Kapustin was born in Moscow, lived in Europe for a long time, and studied in the Netherlands and Germany. In 2014, he visited Kyiv during the Revolution of Dignity, after which he was finally convinced of the value of freedom in the Ukrainian context.
Military Path
On February 24, 2022, Kapustin decided to defend Ukraine with a weapon in hand. Initially, he helped in Kyiv: distributing humanitarian aid, guarding volunteers, and patrolling the train station. His first combat deployment was to Mykolaiv.
About the Russian Volunteer Corps
The RVC was officially established in August 2022. Denis Kapustin was personally the initiator and commander. The corps consisted of former Russian military personnel, ex-law enforcement officers, and participants of nationalist movements who rejected the "Russian world" ideology.
