The company "DTEK" has published information about the power outage schedules that will be in effect in Ukraine over the weekend. According to the announcement, on December 13, hourly power outages will be implemented across all regions of the country due to the consequences of massive Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure.

In particular, in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, up to three power outage periods are planned throughout the day. This means that residents of the capital may be without electricity for up to 12 hours a day.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, it was also explained that the power will be cut off in all consumption schedules, with optimizations for outages to three times during the day.

Situation in other regions

In the Odesa region, the outage schedules foresee 2-4 periods during the day. According to "Ukrenergo," the company is to implement both hourly schedules for residential consumers and capacity restrictions for industries.

Energy workers indicate that the duration of outages may increase to 12-16 hours a day if the situation with the energy system does not improve. According to Vitaliy Zaichenko, the head of "Ukrenergo," it will take weeks to restore the energy system after the attack.

Forecasts and expert comments

Experts point out that the growing deficit of energy capacities may lead to longer outages during the winter period, especially under significant frost conditions. Currently, there is a level of electricity consumption in Ukraine that exceeds generation capabilities.

Additionally, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyrydenko, confirmed that there are currently three schedules for hourly outages across the country. She emphasized that the government is taking measures to reduce the duration of outages, but this will require time and resources.

Therefore, Ukrainians should be prepared for prolonged periods without electricity in the coming days as the situation in the energy system remains tense.
