Today, December 12, powerful destruction occurred in Odesa as a result of attacks by Russia on energy infrastructure facilities. Military strikes were aimed at the substations of the company "DTEK," resulting in damage to 20 substations in the region.

The company "DTEK" published a video showing the extensive destruction at one of the affected substations. "DTEK" stated that it is working around the clock to restore electricity supply to the population. At the time of the attack, a number of settlements were left without electricity.

Attack on civil infrastructure

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the attack not only deprives Ukrainians of normal life but also has no military significance. A civilian ship in the port of Chornomorsk was damaged, and in Odesa, one of the workers was injured and is currently receiving medical assistance.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the strike targeted civilian logistics, which will seriously affect trade. "This is a systematic attack on port infrastructure," the foreign minister noted.

Currently, damage evaluations are ongoing in regional administrations, along with recovery efforts in cooperation with emergency services.
