The latest news from the football world of Ukraine is striking. On the night of November 27 to 28, 2025, employees of the Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment (RTCK) of the Pechersk District of Kyiv detained famous former footballer of the "Dynamo" club and the national team of Ukraine, Denis Harmash.
According to information published on the Telegram channel "Breakfast of the Chimera," the 35-year-old midfielder is currently at the RTCK of the Pechersk District. At the same time, Harmash's former club, FC Lesne, had been excluded from competitions by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).
Circumstances of the Detention
According to sources, Harmash's detention was accompanied by the use of physical force. After being taken to the RTCK, the football player was offered the possibility of being released from the center for a monetary reward of 25 thousand dollars. Harmash refused this offer and continues to remain at the territorial center.
The Kyiv City TC confirmed the fact of the detention, stating that Harmash was brought in for data clarification, but denied allegations of extortion and the use of force.
Official Position of the TC
To prevent the spread of false information, representatives of the territorial center noted that Denis Harmash had no reservations or deferrals from conscription, and after communicating with recruiters, he chose to serve in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This situation has attracted significant attention not only from the football community but also from society as a whole, as it is the first time in Ukraine that a well-known athlete has found himself in such a difficult situation.
