Well-known Ukrainian coach Roman Hryhorchuk expressed his admiration for the team "Polissya" from Zhytomyr, calling it a "top team" that demonstrates a high level of play. According to him, "Polissya" has the potential to compete in European cups, but at present, the team is not participating in these competitions.
Hryhorchuk noted that after the winter training camp, "Polissya" could reach a new level of play, but he was mistaken in his assumptions: the current level of play of the team could be seen much earlier. He pointed out that "Polissya" shows improvement with each game, achieving important results in the Ukrainian Premier League, where to date the club occupies the third place in the standings with 23 points after 12 matches played.
The coach also expressed regret that the team was unable to advance to the main round of the Conference League, losing in the qualifiers to the Italian "Fiorentina." According to Hryhorchuk, "Polissya" has all the capabilities to be on par with stronger teams, and the improvement in the team's game, in his opinion, only confirms this.
At the moment, the "Polissya" team continues to fight for high positions in the league and strives to demonstrate its strength in the upcoming games of the season.
